MV Aerial Bundled Conductor ABC Cables Standards:

MV Aerial Bundled Conductor ABC Cables Constructions:
Conductor: Round, Aluminium Conductor
Conductor Screen: Extruded semi-conductive layer.
Insulation: XLPE
insulation Screen: Extruded semi-conductive layer.
metallic Screen(optional): Copper wire screen or copper tape screen.
Separator: Semi-conductive swellable tape.
outer Sheath: HDPE.
Messager wire: Galvanized steel wires.
Assembly: Three XLPE insulated screened cores are bundled around the galvanized steel
wires in a right hand lay.
MV Aerial Bundled Conductor ABC Cables Application:
Aerial bundled cables are mainly used for secondary overhead lines on poles or as feeders
to residential premises.
The Function of messenger wire:
A) It acts as load bearing wire. B) It acts as earth or neutral conductor

Application
The cables are designed for aerial power lines with rated voltage Uo(Um) 10(12) kV ~35(40.5)kV.
Product properties and range
* Rated voltage is 10kV and 35KV
* No. of cores : 1 , Nominal cross-section(mm2): 16~300
* Max.Continuous permissive working temperature of conductor:
XLPE insulation should be not more than 90ºC.
*Max. Temperature at short circuit (the longest continuous time is not more than 5S) XLPE insulation is 250ºC.
* Installation temperature of cable should be not less than -20ºC.
* Permissive bending radius of cable should be not less than 20(D+d) mm.
D -the actual overall diameter of cable ,mm;
d-the actual overall diameter of conductor ,mm.
* Insulation resistance of common insulation construction of aerial cable should be not less than 1500MΩ km, and insulation
resistance of thin XLPE insulated construction of light aerial cable should be not less than 1000mΩ km.
