Product Description

MV Alu twisted underground S26 3x1x150 mm cable

These cables are used in feeding and/or distribution circuits of electric power, in voltages of up to 0.6/1 kV, in air installations fixed in masts or facades.

The cables with thermoplastic polyethylene (PE) insulation are predicted up to the maximum section of phase conductors of 25 mm 2 .

5.Specific Requirements
5.1 Phase Conducer
5.1.1 The phase conducer shall be comprised by one or several soft copper wires, with or without metallic coating, or of bare aluminum.
5.1.2 Depending on the transversal section and of its building, the phase conducer is designed by:
a) massive section conducer;
b) compacted circular section conducer.
NOTE – For phase conducers in copper, with section of 6 mm 2 , or in aluminum with section of 10 mm 2 , it is accepted a circular section conducer of simple formation.
5.1.3 The phase conducer(s), copper or aluminum, shall be in accordance with NBR NM 280, class 1 or 2.
5.1.4 The surface of the conducers of massive section or of the wires that are part of the corded conducers shall not present fissures, scale, deburr, roughness, grooves or inclusions. The ready conducer in class 2 shall not present cording failures.
5.1.5 The conducer of massive section or the wires that are part of a corded conducer, before being submitted to posterior manufacturing phases, shall comply with the requirements of NBR NM 280.

5.2 Neutral Sustaining Conducer
5.2.1 The neutral sustai9ning conducer shall be comprised by:
a) wire or cable of hard copper;
b) wire or cable of hard aluminum;
c) aluminum alloy cable.
5.2.2 Depending on its building, the neutral sustaining conducer is designed by:
a) massive section conducer;
b) circular section conducer of simple or combined formation.
5.2.3 The conducers of massive section (maximum section of 16 mm 2 ) or the wires that are part of the corded conducers before being submitted to posterior manufacturing phases, and the conducers after being corded shall be in compliance with the following rules and requirements:
a) hard copper conducers: NBR 5111 and NBR 6524, class 1A or 2A of conducer, with minimum, section of 6 mm 2 ;
b) conducers of massive section of hard aluminum: NBR 5118, with minimum section of 10 mm 2 ;
c) corded conducers of hard aluminum: NBR NM 280, with maximum section of 25 mm 2 and formations pursuant to table 1A;
d) aluminum alloy corded conducers: NBR 10298, with minimum section of 35 mm 2 and formations pursuant to table A.1.
5.2.4 When the neutral is insulated, a combined formation for ropes of 19 wires can be used. In this case, the diameters of the component wires do not need to follow the tolerances established in the corresponding standard. The maximum electric resistance shall, however, correspond to the required value for the simple formation of the same nominal section.
5.2.5 The surface of the conducers of massive section or of the wires that are part of the corded conducers shall not present fissures, scale, deburr, roughness, grooves or inclusions. The ready conducer, when corded, shall not present cording failures.
5.3 Separator
On the phase conducer and under its insulation, a separator can be used, and it shall be pursuant to NBR 6251. It shall not be used a separator on the neutral sustaining conducer with insulation.
5.4 Insulation
5.4.1 The insulation shall be comprised by an extruded mixture with thermoplastic polyethylene (PE) or cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), with physical characteristics pursuant to NBR 6251.
5.4.2 The insulation in black shall contain disperse carbon black, with minimum content of 2%, when determined pursuant to NBR 7104. When the insulation has a color other than black, it shall contain additives that protect it against ultraviolet radiation.
5.4.3 The insulation can be in two layers, provided that the outer layer does not overpass 30% of the total thickness of the insulation. The inner and outer layers shall be simultaneously applied, In a way to guarantee that both layers adhere, avoiding the formation of gaps between them. The inner layer shall be in black and it shall contain disperse carbon black, with minimum content of 2%, when determined pursuant to NBR 7104. The outer layer shall contain additives that protect it against ultraviolet
radiation.
5.4.4 The insulation shall be continuous and uniform, throughout its length.
5.4.5 The insulation without separator below it shall be juxtaposed on the conducer, but easily removable and not adherent to
the conducer.
5.4.6 The nominal insulation thickness of each conducer, including the neutral, when isolated, shall be in accordance with the
values of table A.2.
5.4.7 The average thickness of the insulation shall not be lower than the specified nominal value. For the conducers isolated in
two layers, the sum of the thicknesses of both layers is considered as the average thickness.
5.4.8 The minimum insulation thickness, in any point of a transversal section, may be lower than the nominal value, providing
that the difference does not exceed 0.1 mm + 10% of the specified nominal value.
5.4.9 The thickness of the insulation shall be measured pursuant to NBR NM-IEC 60811-1-1.

We can also supply other standards cables of ABC.Following:
