Product Description

Low Voltage Covered Line Aluminum Wire cable for Overhead Distribution

Covering Material:
The standard covering on the conductor is black linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). Alternatively, a covering of black low-density crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) with a 90°C temperature rating is available upon request.

FEATURES:

The product is used primarily for, but not limited to, overhead secondary distribution lines. Installed on insulators, otherwise treated as a bare conductor.
Ease of erection and stringing.
Practically no tree-trimming required.
Less maintenance.
Relative immunity to short circuits caused by external forces (wind, fallen branches), unless they abrade the insulation.

Construction:
Conductors are aluminum alloy 6201-T81, 1350-H19, or ACSR conductors, concentrically stranded and covered for weather proofing with polyethylene, high density(HD) polyethylene or crosslinked polyethylene (XLP).

Standards:
ASTM B-230, B-231, B-232 and B-399 & ICEA S-61-402 and S-66-524
