1.Description
AAC Conductor, All Aluminium Conductor (ASTM B 231)
AAC conductor is widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels, most economical bare overhead conductor due to its lighter weight. It offers easier handing during installation and use of simpler fittings.
2. Refered Standards
(1). IEC 61089: Round wire concentric lay overhead electrical stranded conductors
(2). DIN 48 201-5: All Aluminium Conductors
(3). BS 215-1: Aluminium strander conductors
(4). ASTM B231: Stranded Specification for Concentric-Lay-Stranded Aluminium 1350 Conductors
(5). AS 1531: Conductors-Bare overhead-Aluminium and aluminium alloy
3. Construction:
Aluminum alloy 1350-H-19 wires. Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the corrosion or infusion of the complete cable with grease.
