Fiber reinforced resin matrix composite core aluminum conductor

Fiber reinforced resin matrix composite core type line soft aluminum conductor is made of a soft aluminum wire and fiber reinforced resin matrix composite core formed by stranding from stranding, fiber reinforced resin matrix composite core mandrel for single cylinder. The conductor is give full play to the excellent characteristics of organic materials, compared with the steel core aluminum stranded wire, with light weight, high strength, load flow, low loss, and the advantages of corrosion resistance, low sag, the line long running temperature can reach 160 ºC.

Main applications: At present is mainly used in voltage grade of transmission line 350 kv and below

Product performance characteristics:
(1) under the conditions of the same outer diameter and the same unit weight as the steel-core aluminum stranded wire, DC resistance and AC resistance of the flexible aluminium wire with carbon fiber composite core are far less than those of the steel-core aluminium stranded wire, only about 75% of it;
(2) under the conditions of the same outer diameter and the same unit weight as the steel-core aluminum stranded wire, the breaking force of the flexible aluminium wire with carbon fiber composite core is above 23% higher than the entire breaking force of steel-core aluminum stranded wire;
(3)  the intercepted amount of the carbon fiber composite wire only when the operating temperature is 120ºC is twice more than the steel-core aluminium stranded wire, the long time operating temperature of carbon fiber composite core wire is up to 160ºC, and the current-carrying capacity can be increased significantly.
(4) in a reformed line of capacity expansion, only under the premise that the unit mass and outer diameter of flexible aluminium wire with carbon fiber composite core are no more than the original wire, the AC resistance and DC resistance of carbon fiber composite core wire are reduced significantly, and the operating temperature can also be increased; it has low arc sag characteristic, and thus there is no need to replace rods and towers but the power transportation capacity can be greatly increased.
(5) In a new line, the flexible aluminium wire with carbon fiber composite core with the same outer diameter as the originally designed conductor is used, and thus the line loss can be reduced by 25%
Main applications: Can be widely used in the old line bus expansion reformation, new line construction, power plants, and can be used in large span and large gap, heavy ice, high pollution and special climate and geographical lines, etc.
